Message	Of the non-linearity of octane blending. A mixture of 80% 96.8 RON gasoline and 20% Toluene (RON=124) was tested in an octane engine. The RON of the blend was 99.3. Linear blending would have yielded: 0.8*96.8+0.2*124=102.2. The motor octane numbers would have blended differently so the AKI cannot be determined from these data.
